Edinburgh is a big city in Scotland, UK. It is one of my favourite cities — walkable, clean, and historically artistic. It’s the most ‘academia-esque’ place I’ve visited. it has a very fireplacey, autumnal vibe. It’s clear great care has gone into preserving this beautiful city, especially the Old Town. Everywhere you go: cobbled streets and tall, old masonry buildings. Edinburgh Castle is almost ominously visible from every spot, looming overhead. Like Dublin, it’s touristy, but here the history and architecture are easier to appreciate because that preservation is so evident.
Many cafes are open late at night too! — the silence of the dark nights only adds to the charm of these places. My favourite moment was a midnight chocolate-dessert bar in cosy cocoa café.
